TLC Wales Fostering, a specialist fostering agency focused on children with disabilities and health needs, is growing — and we’re looking for a dynamic Practice Manager to join our leadership.

About the Role

You’ll work closely with the Registered Manager to manage and support a team of social workers and non-social work staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support to foster carers and children. You’ll also take a lead in key service areas, including:

  • Marketing & Foster Carer Recruitment
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Support & Training Services

As the Deputy Safeguarding Lead, you will also step in for the Registered Manager as needed.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Supervision and development of staff
  • Oversight of high-quality foster care practices
  • Driving recruitment and growth initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation and fostering standards
  • Attending and supporting fostering panels
  • Representing the agency at planning and review meetings
  • Leading on consultation, participation and social events
  • Monitoring, reporting, and contributing to CIW compliance and inspection readiness
  • Supporting the implementation of Individual Placement Agreements

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Social Work Degree or equivalent with at least 5 years’ post-qualifying experience
  • Registered Social Worker with Social Care Wales
  • Strong leadership and staff supervision skills
  • Extensive knowledge of child protection, child development, and fostering legislation in Wales
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships
  • Budget management experience
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel
  • A commitment to ongoing personal development
